3rd Annual Fall Event Features Candidates, Food & Entertainment

The Clallam County Republicans held their 3rd Annual Fall Event, The Fall Round Up, on September 17, 2016, from 3-7 pm at the Home Arts Building at the Clallam County Fairgrounds located at 1608 W 16th Street, Port Angeles.

Bill Bryant, Republican candidate for governor and Chris Vance, running for U. S. Senate, were the main speakers.

GOP Chair Dick Pilling emceed the event, and introduced various candidates running in the November Election for Clallam County and Washington State offices. Dave Stockton spoke on behalf of Marty McClendon, candidate for Lt. Governor (Marty had a conflicting event and couldn’t attend).  Todd Bloom spoke about his extensive background and goals for the position of U. S. House of Representatives District 6.

State Candidates Danille Turissini (for State Senate); John D. Alger and George Vrable, both running for State Representative (John for District 2 and George for District 1) each shared their vision for the job they want to do.

Steve McLaughlin, candidate for Public Lands Commissioner, talked about the differences between his goals and those of his opponent; and Dave Larson, candidate for State Supreme Court Justice spoke on behalf of himself, Greg Zempel and David DeWolf (both of whom could not attend).  He emphasized that the State Supreme Court must refer to Article 1, Section 32 of the Washington State Constitution, and pay particular attention to Article 1, Section 1.

There was a Western barbecue from Dawgman as well as a no host bar from the Red Lion. To top off the evening, Bret Wiggins offered a masterful performance as an Elvis Tribute Artist.

Here are some photos from the event:
