Loren Culp won the Primary and is our Republican candidate for governor. Let’s get behind him and WIN! Loren is the author of the bestselling book, American Cop. After his military service, he was a small business owner for more than 20 years. He knows how excessive taxes and regulations hurt all businesses large and small. As the current Police Chief in Republic, WA, and former narcotics detective, he is on the front lines of the opioid and meth crisis and has been for many years and he has also helped turn lives around. Loren believes in the safety and security of Washington State citizens first before all others and take a strong stance on helping the federal government enforce our existing immigration laws. Matthew P. Larkin – Matt Larkin, a lifelong Washington resident, lives in Woodinville with his wife Shelly and their 4 small children.
In his spare time Matt enjoys bike riding and kayaking with his family and coaches his kids in YMCA youth basketball and little league baseball. They are active members of Timberlake Church in Redmond. State Auditor
Christopher S Leyba – I am a resident of the 25th District in Pierce County Washington and have been a resident of Washington State since 2004. I obtained my bachelors of science in molecular biology in 2007 from the University of Washington and am currently finishing up a master’s degree in Business Finance at Washington State University. Shortly after obtaining my undergraduate degree I joined the Seattle Police Department, where I worked as an officer and detective for 6 years. In this time, I spent 3 years as a detective of audits and inspections, directly responsible for conducting performance audits related to the Department’s consent decree with the U.S. Department of Justice. I obtained national certification as a law enforcement auditor in this assignment from the International Law Enforcement Auditor’s Association (ILEAA). In addition to my duties on the consent decree, I also performed internal audits of property, narcotics, money, and other records that were required of us by state and federal law. State Treasurer
Duane A Davidson – Duane Davidson was elected as Washington’s 23rd state treasurer in 2016, winning the majority of the vote in all 39 counties of Washington State. Before being elected state treasurer, Duane had a long career as a public treasurer and government finance professional both as a four-term county treasurer and previous chief accountant, both in Benton County.
Prior to his long and outstanding tenure in Benton County, Duane served the state for several years as an assistant state auditor auditing local governments. His career started as a certified public accountant (CPA) and he holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting from Central Washington University. – DUANEDAVIDSON.ORG
State Superintendent of Instruction (SPI)
Maia Espinoza – Maia is an entrepreneur, school music teacher, youth soccer coach, community liaison, wife, and mother of two children. Maia served on the Race and Ethnicity Student Data task force at OSPI as part of the Opportunity Gap Oversight Committee and was Legislative Liaison to the Governor’s Commission on Hispanic Affairs. She served as Chair of her school’s auction committee, serves on the board for Tacoma Arts Live, is a member of the Catholic Daughters Association and a core member of Coffee Oasis homeless youth center.
Maia is a strong supporter of Referendum 90 – to repeal the bill passed by Democrats along party lines for a STATE-MANDATED, COMPREHESIVE sex ed bill starting in Kindergarten (as early as age 5). She believes schools should teach essential skills. Her website is www.maiaforus.com
State Commissioner of Public Lands
Sue Kuehl Pederson – Sue has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, University of Washington; Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology (minors in Chemistry & German), Western Washington University. Community Service includes Board Member, Small Faces Child Development Center; Board Member, Ghana Together; Board Member, Commencement Bay Rowing Club (youth program).
Sue brings a responsible resource management perspective to the position with her biological background. She believes improved timber management can reduce disease and excess fuel in our forests, leading to a reduction in wildfires.
Sue has sought to understand the true relationship between her beloved salmon and our extensive hydropower system, and she believes they can successfully coexist. Brian Pruiett for State Representative, Position 2 – Brian Pruiett is a PNW native who is committed to a lifetime of public service. He combined dual careers in the US Army and federal civil service. In the Army he began as a private and retired after 34 years as a battalion commander in the rank of lieutenant colonel, completing four command tours, and two deployments to Afghanistan as a senior advisor to Afghan forces.

A huge THANK YOU to all who attended the Clallam County Republican Party County Convention 2020 on March 25, 2020 and helped to make it a success!
This was a “first” for our county holding a county convention online. It was successful in great part to the programmer who set up the voting program so we could have secret ballots for the election, and most of all, the county delegates who attended and participated! We successfully filled our entire slate of State Delegates and just shy of a full slate of Alternates. Next our elected state delegates will represent Clallam County Republicans at the State Convention to help craft an excellent platform and elect delegates to the national convention, where we will nominate our presidential candidate – Donald J. Trump! 🙂
Thank you all for everything you did – it goes to show that American ingenuity and determination will get ‘er done, despite potential adversities! 🙂

Voter Registration in your Church
There is a lot of misinformation about what churches are allowed to do in the political arena – misinformation that is spread by liberals and groups that don’t want to see conservative people of faith speak out and have an impact. They attempt to scare pastors from participating by claiming that, if they get involved, their church will lose its tax-exempt status. But that’s just not true.
What is a caucus and why is it important to you?
Caucuses are a gathering of individuals from each precinct across the county. The purpose of a caucus is 2-fold. You and your Republican neighbors will meet to determine issues you’d like included or changed on the county platform and possible resolutions. Secondly, you will elect delegates to the county convention, to be held March 28, 2020.
Local Candidate Filing Opens Soon
The five-day candidate filing period for numerous local elected offices is coming up in Clallam County. Candidates must be registered to vote, and may file for candidacy online, in person, or by mail. The complete list of offices open for filing can be found on the Clallam County Elections website at www.clallam.net/elections.
