The Passage of Democrats’ Comprehensive Sex Education Bill

The Passage of Democrats’ Comprehensive Sex Education Bill

by Susan Shotthafer

While the MAT clinic and corona virus monopolized the attention of many local residents, below, you will find an example of last week’s Democrat destruction to Washington State, traditional American values, and our Judeo-Christian culture.  This is a partial list of over 200 proposed, quite reasonable, but rejected Republican amendments to the Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE) Bill. The Washington Votes website https://www.washingtonvotes.org/  reports Republicans submitted over 200 amendments to this CSE bill that passed on a 56-40 party line vote. (more…)

SB 5395 – “Comprehensive Sex Education, K-12”

SB 5395 – “Comprehensive Sex Education, K-12”

The Washington State Legislature is moving toward passing a bill for “comprehensive” sex education, K-12.  Senate Bill 5395 has passed the Senate, and the House is addressing its version of the bill (HB1407).

The Family Policy Institute of Washington (FPIW) has warned about the bill, which Republicans strongly opposed:

“SB 5395 requires that every school district and every school teach dangerous Comprehensive Sexual Education starting in Kindergarten.  This bill requires that instruction and materials be inclusive of, and use language and strategies that recognize, all protected classes – that would include Gay, Lesbian, and Transgender ‘protected classes.’  Further, the Comprehensive Sexual Education must be an integral part of the school’s curriculum and be ‘skills-based.’ (more…)

Legislative Alert 2020 – SPECIAL NEWS ON SEX ED BILL – SB 5395 !

This just in from Sharon Hanek:

SB 5395 – yes the one we thought was done is getting a second life!

Senator Wilson plans to put this bill up for a vote by the full Senate as early as Wednesday at 10:00  or Friday at 10:00.  After confirming with members of the Senate Rules committee we may have a better idea which day.

Start calling your Senators NOW to vote NO on SB 5395 !

Remind them – this was stopped because of its aggressive efforts to put ALL public schools into a one-size-fits-all Comprehensive Sex Education curriculum and it goes down to kindergarten.

This bill includes “skills-based instruction” on abstinence (condom demonstration), sexual violent behavior, and how to give affirmative consent, to name a few examples.

There does not need to have a hearing for this in a Senate – this is a vote of all Senators so call and email your Senator. (All of them if you have time.)

Teen Sexual Activity, Unwanted Pregnancies, Contraceptives, and Corporal Consequences Only

Posted April 3, 2017

From time to time, researching, I’ve come across stories about teen sexual activity, contraceptive use, declining teen pregnancies, and highest ever STD rate. One obvious question seems to be why we hear about decreased teen sexual activity and epidemic teen STD in this same period.  Comprehensive Sex Education tells teens that that contraceptive drugs are safe. True?  If you have not already reached a conclusion, after reading the following stories, you may deduce what now seems apparent though my research is, by no means complete.  Some of the most salient facts directly below precede following details.

Emergency contraceptive, i.e. the morning after pill, Plan B, became available over-the- counter in 2013. The latest available figures about morning after pill use by teens extend up to 2013. (more…)

Who controls your life more – the State Legislature or Agencies?

by Ruth

Olympia, WA – 1/16/2020 – The Legislative Session begins on Monday, January 13th. There are a host of bills and issues we need to follow closely – regulatory restrictions, income tax, pay-per-mile tax, sex education, $30 car tab issue, gun laws. The list is long. I want to point out a bill that really won’t have as much of an impact on your life as many others, and it may not even pass, but it is one of hundreds that gives law-making authority to a board that has no accountability to the people.
